RUABelle and I put our heads together and counted how many wines we've tasted in the past two days.

It's only a swallow or so at a time, but at 100+ degrees, it's certainly taking its toll on us. The good news is that we leave tomorrow AM for Vegas, so the wine intake should slack off. The bad news is that it was 114 in Vegas today. Between the heat and the sin, we should have a pretty good snapshot of Hades.

I know, cry me a river. We're having fun and hope everybody in Nashville has access to A/C. Have fun at the Mothership blogger meat-up.

I've been to Vegas once.
Wouldn't you know it was the Squirrel Queen's luck to go during a heat wave.
The local news was actually warning the locals to stay in and to check on their elderly neighbors.
Even Fat Elvis sweated off a few extra pounds that week.
Have fun, not a heat stroke.

My mother says the only time she ever jumped in a pool with her clothes on was in Vegas, circa 1959, because it was so hot.

If they're warning Las Vegans to check on the elderly the next couple days, we really need to dispatch someone out there to check on our CLC. Hi-oooooooooooooooooooo!

Drink a lot of wine in Vegas.
I think it will hydrate you.
